Smart move from the Junair Group

In a move to help franchised dealers and major auto services retailers break into the growing and increasingly lucrative cosmetic vehicle repairs market, the Junair Group has launched a new venture called The Smart Effect.

The smart repair market has more than doubled in value within just five years, rocketing from £30 million to £70 million. With some experts predicting that the market could ultimately be worth around £1 billion, motor dealers and retailers are showing increased interest and looking at ways they can secure a mouth-watering slice of the cosmetic repair pie!

In recent times, the products in the smart repair market have greatly improved whilst the range of services has expanded to cover a wider spectrum of repair jobs. For customers, the main benefits are convenience and relatively low prices. The vast majority of smart repairs can be carried out while the customer’s vehicle is in for other work. The demand is certainly there and dealers are uniquely placed to satisfy it and generate substantial additional revenues, whilst saving money on outsourcing smart repairs to traditional mobile providers.

An attractive business proposition

Managing Director of The Smart Effect Limited, Neil Morrison, says: “The Smart Effect is a very attractive business proposition in that it offers dealers a complete package of equipment, materials, services and support from which to tailor and set-up their own highly professional in-house cosmetic vehicle repair business in a clean environment that complies fully with the latest legislation.

“Dealers are able to select from a ‘menu’ of packs including capital equipment, small tools, paint, materials, consumables, repair kits, staff training, legislation compliance, marketing, maintenance and spares, and service and support. There is further flexibility and choice within each of these ‘packs’,

In addition, dealers can choose how they ‘buy-in’ to the programme. The Smart Effect business models include cash purchase/finance purchase of equipment, a rental agreement, or even a profit share arrangement.
